Palisades #1 in Treating Heart Failure and Heart Attack
New Jersey's Department of Health and Senior Services' 2008 Hospital Performance recognized Palisades for its world-class services. Palisades was one of only six hospitals in the entire state to receive a 100% score in heart failure care in the Report. The report also ranked Palisades as the #1 hospital in Hudson County in treating heart attack patients. The annual report focuses a great deal on heart failure and heart attack care because they are among the most common reasons for patient admissions. Report scores are based on the percentage of eligible patients that received correct treatments and care in order to fully recover from their medical problem. The complete report can be viewed at

HealthGrades Give Birthing Center a 5-Star Rating
For the second straight year, Palisades' Maternity Unit received a perfect 5-Star Rating from HealthGrades.
